11 Interesting Pictures That Look Photo Shopped But Aren't

All of the photos below are exactly as the shots were taken. Although it's hard to believe (and many won't anyway) but they are untouched.

This is done using a large mirror with a hole to put your head through. Then focus the camera on just the mirror. Simple, who doesn't have a huge mirror with a hole in it laying around

Slow shutter, LED pen

Dye injected chicks in Bali

These photos taken from my favorite of the "Not PhotoShopped" Thread
at SomethingAwful. More photos and descriptions HERE

The last photo is a dust storm in Arizona, looks like tent city (prision). These dust storms are also called haboobs believe it or not.

great photos, the bunny is freaking me out, what the hell is going through someones mind when they decide to build a giant bunny in the middle of no where?

Tim said...

What the hell did that owner feed his dog..

Dom said...

Woah!
The massive dog is a result of a myostatin mutation I think...
That led pen one is awesome! So is the "floating head"/mirror with hole in!

Nice finds

Dom

The first was by Li Wei and it's just a mirror with a hole in it! Studied him for college and love his stuff

Can someone tell me who the angel wing photo belongs to? email patriciocorazon [at] gmail [dot] com

the dog is a genetic abnormality it was actually dug a couple of months back.

Dust storm is in Iraq, not arizona.

Cat and rabbit look highly suspicicous

"What the hell did that owner feed his dog.."

More like, what exercise program did he put him on? If you can eat something to get that buff I'll take about a quarter as much as that dog had.

Anonymous said...

the dust storm photo is not in arizona. how many military bases in arizona need blast protectors in front of the barracks and other tents. it's from iraq and has been seen in about a million other posts on DIGG

There is such thing as giant bunnies...haven't you ever seen Teletubbies??

some sicko has been experimenting on his dog with steroids. I wonder how fast that dog runs..

There is always one asshole that insists everything is photoshoped.

Google for the giant rabbit, if im not mistaken is a german farmer that worked years to get XL size rabbits.

About the dog, its a genetic mutation... I saw the dog on TV a coulple years back. Believe it or not, despite its appearance it is a friendly and gentle dog...

Read about it here...

Yeah, I remember reading that article before about the rare hereditory abnormality, more prevalent in that species of dogs, found in all living species and yes humans, to which it doesn't allow the body to retain much body fat at all. You guys should check it out, the pictures of the other animals affected are even more crazy.

I've heard the dog has a genetic disorder that makes it double muscled. I've seen pics where cows have the same condition.

Sorry dude, but that is Iraq, not Arizona.

oh, and buffed dog creeps me out.

the dog is definitely real and lives in Victoria, BC (like me). heres a link to the a story in the local paper - http://www.canada.com/victoriatimescolonist/features/story.html?id=94a98fd2-1016-467a-a51a-94bd39f3c8ea&k=59202

If it was a hole in the mirror, then where is the reflection of the back of the head ?
No I say 'shopped !
Some of the pics are clearly photoshopped.

patrick, the last photo is a dust storm in the middle east, im guessing iraq. we have sand bags and concrete barriers around tents and trailers to protect from indirect fire, these dust storms come in all the time.

Are this pictures really not photoshopped? These are amazing pictures.

if will smith had that dog in the movie i am legend he could walk out at night without a care

I found the floating head and the Ahnuld Schwarzenegger dog disturbing but find the dog visually/cognitively dissonant
more frightening of the two because the dog is real.
I get the shivers just thinking about ever meeting that dog. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

that dog reminds me of Doakes on the tv show Dexter

Tim said...

The cat is a Maine Coone. They grow to be pretty massive. I have one, but she's not pure-bred, so she's only half that size.

They are pretty awesome cats.

Sparky said...

That last comment was photoshopped for sure.

The rabbit is real. The pic is cut from a news clip I saw a few months ago about farming large rabbits for food in Europe.

Anonymous said...

Arizona? Hahaha. That's Baghdad.

Steven said...

To whoever said the rabbit looks suspicious, you would be surprised. My friend payed $800 for some specific type of rabbit and I was in disbelief when I saw how big the thing was.

You're just used to seeing those little generic rabbits at the pet store.

Probably not a complete hole but half a circle cut at the top of the mirror

Did the dog take steroids???

Brett said...

I know for a fact the bunny picture is real -- I've seen it in Google Earth. Also, the sand storm is a real picture from an American base in Iraq. A good friend of mine took similar shots.

Wayne said...

The dog I can buy. The cat and the rabbit? Video or it didn't happen.

Anonymous said...

Photoshopped. Look at the dust storm carefully... do you really think the people in that shot are real?? Look closer...

Anonymous said...

that sand storm is not arizona it is actually in IRAQ that is where Americans are stationed this took place April 26 2005 look it up.

Usually when you find people like "Richard", they are the type of person who can't think outside the box. Or in his case, just can't think at all.
Everything has to be photoshopped for it to be real, that's sad!!
I spend most of my time never using photoshop, I don't even own photoshop yet I can still (with some imagination) create the same, if not better effects.

Anonymous said...

I don't know about that first one but the rest seem pretty legit. The buff dog down there has a myosin deficiency and there was even a story done on her.

Anonymous said...

Anyone that knows anything about photography can tell you that anything that moves while the shutter is open will be blurred when the shutter finally closes and the camera produces a picture. The LED wings are believeable, the guy standing absolutely still with no blur is not.

Anonymous said...

Most are neat, that dog is sad...anyone that would do that to a dog deserves to be shot.

serene said...

the cat there are tons of pictures of them out there ... they are called maine coons.

the rabbit go to any local farm type fair and you will see rabbits getting close to that size which makes that one believable...

the dog is a 'bully' whippet, Wendy the whippet to be exact :-p, she has a genetic mutation that dogs, cows, humans etc can have the mutation gives two copies of the same muscle gene so they are doubly stacked with muscles. some whippets can have only a slight mutation giving them a more muscled but not bulging look. ...

look it up, instead of claiming this stuff is photoshopped.

Great pictures.

No one has mentioned the chicks. When you say injected with dye, you mean they were shot up with dye into their bloodstream? They weren't just dipped or something? They are cute.

Anonymous said...

That dog lives in my city. It has a disease.

Dust storm... Al Asad Iraq.
Stationed there for 16 months. You can see the storm coming from a ways, better run find some shelter

Giant cat = Maine Coon

Real animals, real photos, no manipulation at all.

How scary would it be if that dog got infected by the T-virus (from Resident Evil).
